From the 21st Fusiliers to the 21st Century

John Smith joined the British Army in 1812

After spending time at Waterloo, in the Carribbean dealing with revolting natives, and in his homeland Ireland, he then went to England where he departed with convicts to travel to Tasmania.

He finally arrived in the Swan River Colony where he resigned from the army and allowed his children to put down roots in Perth.

This is the record of those children and their descendants.
