Poll Sum; 28th May

L-NP 45.69% ALP 54.31

Polls older than 14 days have been discarded

This week just under 10,000 people were polled

Charts will be developed as the information accumulates.

Data as at Tuesday night, 27th May.

Based on the AEC numbers there were 14722754 enrolled electors for the 2013 election so a fair estimate for the 2016 election is 15,000,000 electors.

Polls Included and Totals Polled.

Only one new poll was added, the Essential poll 27th May

Two polls, Reachtel 8th May and Essential 13th May were deleted.

Percentages converted back to Raw Numbers

Simple maths convert the published % to raw numbers using the electors polled.

Liberal and National Party numbers are combined.

Two Party Preferred

Translating this into electoral numbers,

assuming 15 million electors

we have a National Two Party Preferred of

L-NP 6,851,500 votes

ALP 8,149,500 votes

An increase of 15,000 voters for the ALP.

Federally, tony abbott is making Bill Shorten look like Winston Churchill.

On other polling,

Galaxy 25th May for Queensland

  1. A good set of numbers Ærchie. Still cannot fathom why so many would still vote for the Coalition. The Nationals vote % is less than PUP so there are still many rusted on Liberals who don’t really care where the Abbott government is taking this country. A mystery indeed.

    • I fear there is a growing acceptance of the budget by Middle Australia. They may not like it but they are beginning to accept that the AAA economy left by Labor really was a disaster and the economic emergency is real.

      • Believe it is just that they don’t think. Too busy or too lazy or haven’t acquired any critical thinking. Dumbed down by the garbage they see, hear & read. I despair.

The economic emergency is the result of NLP action before and after the election. The community was subjected to a rabid scare campaign before the election, the NLP doubled the deficit as soon as it was elected.and continues to threaten us with increased household expenditure together with loss of employment. If anyone has any savings they are going to hang on to them thus making things worse. I fear a downward spiral brought on by NLP crying wolf.

        • So do I. This will be the recession Australia did NOT have to have!

I can see the Catholic Guilt reasoning behind it, though. We avoided the Global recession through the actions of the Anti-Christ Gillard and her Government. We must now all say Hail Mary’s and Our Father’s and make apologies to our creditors as punishment for electing her and her evil demonic tribe of ALP front benchers.

God Bless Australia in a George Pell way.
