HOW DARE THEY SLANDER MY NAVY?
22nd JAN
No Asylum Seeker arrivals have been reported today.
The Morrison Flotilla of Rubber Ducks has denied everything it has ever been accused of and the Herr Minister has accepted those denials as absolute Gospel Truth. Shirelive Gospel of course.
I am, of course, talking about those outrageous allegations which have come from Kupang City and were made by those ungrateful asylum seekers who were sent, pushed or towed back to the safety of Rote Island.
The ABC, revealing its left-wing bias by reporting stuff instead of just opining, quoted actual asylum seekers as they claimed that they had been mistreated.
Minister Morrison, at his ministerial best angrily said, “I want to address something pretty appalling that was being reported by the ABC this morning – airing unfounded, unsubstantiated, outrageous allegations against our Navy and our Customs and our border protection service,” he said. “I mean there [has] been no police investigation in Indonesia.”
His anger was aroused by the following.
Minister Morrison was quite emphatic in his response and earlier today said he would not tolerate people “sledging” Australian Navy personnel, and the claims of abuse were unsubstantiated.
“The Australian Government is not going to put up with people sledging the Australian Navy with unsubstantiated claims when they have high levels of motivation for spinning stories in order to undermine this government’s very successful border protection program,” he said. There has been no police investigation in Indonesia, there has been nothing of that sort.” Speaking to reporters in Sydney, Mr Morrison also attacked the ABC for broadcasting the claims.
Obviously these reports are completely wrong as they do not involve HMAS Ballarat or HMAS Success. At least, as far as we know they don’t. And anyway, none of our highly ethical and well trained naval forces were ever involved in – umm – “questionable behaviour“.
So Minister Morrison is quite correct in refusing to take off his blinkers in the face of this completely unwarranted slander.
Especially as it is not being investigated.
The ABC is obviously compounding its deliberate treason by reporting that “an Indonesian detective this afternoon said police were looking into the asylum seekers’ allegations. Local police from Kupang, where the asylum seekers were taken, say they have statements from the passengers. Chief Detective Sam Kawengian says the claims warrant investigation and he has invited Australian authorities to travel to Kupang and view the evidence.”
