For many years a herring swam along with a friendly whale.
From Antarctica down the latitudes to the north of Australia and across the longitudes to South America.
They were always seen together.
However, as with all long term close relationships, stresses and strains sometimes emerged.
One day the herring appeared without its companion.
Asked where the whale was, the herring replied, “How would I know? Am I my blubber’s kipper?”
