North Perth has had an interesting history.
Originally a collection of Market Gardens it was populated by a range of incoming migrant groups and became a village on the outskirts of Perth. Changing to a residential suburb, Perth overgrew it yet it has kept a distinct character.
Around the corner of Fitzgerald and Angove Streets is an interesting collection of shops which show the history of this area.
Shops in Perth tend to show the architecture of the time it was built. This is one of the older retail “corner stores”.
