BBC Quiz of the Week

An interesting week in which the phones have been off for much of the time. Our only contact with the outside world has been by email or a dodgy satellite phone.

Our water is failing its purity tests so there are problems in that area as well. And just this morning one of our generators died. This could lead to a domino effect and drop our power supply right out. So if I disappear, that is probably the reason.

Added to this is the birth of the first cyclone of the season north of Australia. This could come in our direction in around a week.

It was good to see Bloglily drop in with a respectable score. Unfortunately it seems that Seville is a news-free zone as Az has bottomed out again with 1/7.

This week my score again totaled 4/7. Lately I am barely passing!

BBC Quiz of the Week

Another busy week but this time I had some health to help fight the good fight. We have our State Governor (head of state under QE2) visiting our small community next week so we are flat out getting things into some semblance of tidiness.

Last week we saw Daddy P and Sandy share the dunce’s cap with 2/7 while Rob and the GitWizard topped the class with 6/7.

This week I fluked a 5/7 which seems quite reasonable until I admit to knowing only two of the answers.

An URTI is not fun.

I have been trying to post this all day but I have not been able to sit up straight for any length of time.

BBC Quiz of the Week

It seems that last week’s quiz was Ladies Day.

Sledpress scored an enthusiastic 6/7 while silverstar and magic hands both bottomed out with 2/7. (Does my bottom look big with this score?)

This week I managed to scrape a pass with 4/7 but I’m not proud of myself.

BBC Quiz of the Week

Magic Hands won another crown last week while the gitwizard and Daddy P share the cap having  – I was going to say “failed miserably” but they both seem far too cheerful about the result.

Whew, despite having to fly on Friday the thirteenth, I successfully made it down to Pert for a week’s R&R.

So here I am, out of touch for a couple of days and I still managed to get 5/7.

I do apologise for the lateness of the quiz. I have been suffering day-confusion this week. On Wednesday I was sure it was Friday, Thursday and Friday I subconsciously KNEW were Wednesday and Thursday.

Now it is Saturday and I am into a weekend I was not expecting so soon.

It seems the boys have been skiving off from their studies as Cybe, Rob and the Eagly Eminence were all at the bottom of the class with 2/7.

No Crown Winner this week although Buff was able to record her second 6/7 in a row.
