Perth Royal Show #4

Just wandering around the Show, I came across a whole group of different activities.

The fine and noble art of log chopping. I wouldn’t be against logging in old growth forests if this was the method in use.

After alll the dangerous rides in Sideshow Alley, this one looks a lot more restful.

Getting ready for an event, after all the grooming, calming the nerves of both rider and horse.

A cockatiel in a cage. A beautiful and friendly bird which often rides around on shoulders. Once tamed, of course.

In Oz there is a famous song “Old Man Emu”. This is young man emu.

Even the home gardeners got in on the act with a display of prizewinning orchids.

The Western Australian Police Pipe Band provided some entertainment. Magic.

This barn owl was standing in for a large group of raptors which are in danger of extinction.

Tomorrow, the final group of images will be of the produce from some of the regions in Western Australia.
