Thanks to regular reader and long-time string-thinker Cybe, here is a quiz which will test your knowledge of science.
I was lucky enough to get 12/12 but then I suffer from geekish moments.
The definition of an easy question is “One you know the answer to!”

12/12 as well. That was candy. If 90% of my countrymen and women can’t nail all those, no wonder we elect some of the assholes we tend to get in office.
Yay! 12 for me, too. And I don’t count myself a sciency type at all…
Would I ever suggest a quiz I had not aced? I got 12/12, too.
I’m encouraged by the archive blog readers, too! You all seem to be up on this sciency stuff.
12/12 here too. It amazes me that anyone paying the least bit of attention couldn’t ace this quiz. It’s not quantum physics.
Blimey! I’m no science kid … no way … hence the smug, self-satisfied smirk re the History test … but even I got 12/12 for this one.
hrm. i’m a self-confessed science nerd… pursuing that stupid graduate degree and all… but i missed one. i wish they would show you what questions you got wrong because like any type A person, i would contest it!
11
All 12 here too … not what I’d call a challenging test, but apparently some people find it hard.

At the end, there is a section to click :
How you did, question by question
I remain Your obedient servant etc
G E etc
11/12 which I find to be very annoying!!! Stupid planet question!!! – Mars is a chocolate bar ….. right?
Very well done, readers. If 11/12 is the worst we can do then it shows we, here at the archive, are a pretty intelligent lot. This is in spite of the reader from the despondent slough and that other one with the sore shins. Research scientists, of course, are specialists and cannot be expected to know everything in other fields of learning.
An interesting set of results, thank you all for taking part.
12/12 for me too
12/12 too, all basic general knowledge really, wish the BBC News quiz was that easy.
