Photo Hunt #119; What Is That?

tnChick has been testing us lately. Some hard tasks have been given.

So this week we need a puzzle. I looked and I looked.

I couldn’t find anything.

But then – - -

Here is one, just in time.

Try to work it out before you go over the fold.

Then head on over to the home of the Photo Hunt and see what other puzzles have been set.

It is in the port city of Fremantle.

The gun had just fired as I took this final shot. Of course it is no longer a case of “Light the blue touchpaper and retire”. It is all done electrically.

  5. Ouh. Me too thought it was a hot balloon. And then I thought it looked like the bottom part of a cup cake… :P

  6. I thought it was a basket of food hung up high so the kids couldn’t reach it. :(

  7. I wouldn’t have guessed. I had thought it’s a variation of the hot balloon…:-)

  8. Well, I have a guess, but I’m not saying what I think it is…I’ll then go back and see just how wrong I was! [okay --you twisted my arm...I see all the string/rope I'm thinking...something to do with sailing!?!]

    Thanks for the visit.

  9. Oh dang…was I way off!!!

  10. nope, you had me stumpped! :-(
    thanks for visiting mine :-)

  11. Its Arthur C. Clarke’s Space Elevator.

  12. I thought it was something on a sailing boat.
    I was wrong!
    This was fun.

  13. I thought all the lines were rigging on a sailboat. Maybe. Otherwise, I couldn’t make hide nor hair of that weird “ball”.

  14. oh..i could have never guessed!:D i was thinking of a sailboat, too.

  15. I guessed burnt cupcake shot out of a canon…not exactly right but, hey, closer than I usually am.

  16. Well, I thought that whatever it was was seen from the bottom and suspended in mid-air or seen through a glass table of some sort. The lines did look ike some sort of sailing rigging, a thought enhanced by the fact that the characters in the novel I am reading are currently mid-Atlantic on a small ship in the winter.

  17. I never would have guessed!

  18. I was thinking something to do with sailing and I guess it does in an off-hand manner. Obviously it was designed by sailors or those closely associated with them so it makes sense.

Interesting info on the photo. Good choice.
