Friday Skywatch #2

Lake Dora is a huge salt lake in the remote Great Sandy Desert of North-West Western Australia. Normally dry and white with salt.

On Feb 13th this year we were in the middle of “The Wet”, a time of cyclones and thunderstorms and there was some water in this part of the lake.

It provided an interesting reflection for the sunset that evening while the layers of storm clouds showed a range of colours as the sun sank towards the horizon.
