    History commonly is determinated by the Qvestions that Folk have to answer

    Not many know this

    Thus, if the Choice is being French or English, any sensible American would have wanted in 1763 to be English

    However, if in 1773, the Choice was being British (with a German Clod as King) or an American, the most effective and unPleasant part of the American Population chose to be American under Mr Washington

    It is interesting that 100,000+ Americans (was that 8% + of the White Population ?) chose to emigrate from the USA because it was so unpleasant to be ruled by Mr Washington and his Violent Friends

    Of course, Native Americans and African Americans knew exactly what to expect from an Independent USA but sadly, their views do not seem to have carried much weight

    AND it would be interesting to know which side Mr Washington (that great Virginian) would have supported in the “War of Northern Aggression”

    Now if the Choice is Cthulu … or Sauron the Brown …. or the RuddCreature … or that Kindly Mr Harper … well, that is a difficult call to make

    At least in November, our Middle-Colonies friends are not being asked to vote for a Texan Shrub
