I found this over on snoopythegoon‘s site. It is a wonderful bit of absolutely essential information!
24, 48, 40, 5, 18, 6×7, 510, 250
What do these numbers have in common?
Kiefer Sutherland, the star of the hit TV series 24, has been sentenced to 48 days in jail for drink-driving.
The actor was formally sentenced yesterday in Los Angeles, California, and his lawyer said he would begin serving the prison term immediately.
Sutherland, 40, was also ordered to spend five years on probation and to complete an 18-month alcohol education programme and six months of weekly therapy sessions. He was fined $510 (£250)

ha! another jailbird bites the dust. quite a lengthy sentence. how many times had he been caught before?
I don’t know, but anything that takes him and his Neo-con Repuglican wish-fulfilment fantasies off-screen can only be good.
Maybe I am slow? But where does the 250 come in?
It is, of course, as anyone (with prior, specialised knowledge and a really weird mind) knows, £250. My mistake, I cut the cut’n'paste.
