I have spent some time trying to deny the horrors which lie beneath our world of apparent sanity.
Possibly because I am being subject to the horrors of a Federal Election Campaign.
However, it is good to know that there are horrors beyond John Howard and there will a Festive Season to mock. I found this several years ago along with a whole lot of other Cthulhu Carols. You, my demented reader, will be subject to them over the forthcoming weeks.
For those who know their HTML coding, I attempted to create a tag
“font color=”outofspace”.
The Shoggoth was not amused.
God Rest Ye Scary Great Old Ones
God rest ye scary great old ones;
Let everything dismay.
Remember Great Cthulhu shall rise up from R’lyeh
To kill us all with tentacles
If we should go his way.
CHORUS
O tidings of madness and woe, madness and woe
O tidings of madness and woe!
In Yuggoth and in Aldebaran
The Great Old Ones were spawned
Imprisoned by the Elder Gods to wait for eons,
Enticing humans to release them,
CHORUS
An Arab said: “That is not dead
Which can eternal lie,
And with Strange Eons even death may die.”
The Great Old Ones will rule once more
And all will be destroyed.
CHORUS

Wait a second … isn’t Alderbraan where Princess Leia came from?
Tentacles … that would explain the hairstyle, any road.
Metro, you are quite correct. There was a misplaced “r”. The correction has been made, to the confusion of astro-physicists and the enlightenment of astrologers.
ah… I look forward to the others. Perhaps you should make up a seperate page for the carols during the holiday season so we can reference them easily later?
dorid, I may just do that – great idea.
Do you not have a picture of Cthulhu in a red hat with white fur trim?
“The Shoggoth was not amused”…Bwahahahahahahah ohhhh dear, must wipe eyes, so funny.
Great post. Thank you.
Quality song from a quality songbook. I think these originally came from the HPL Historical Society carol songbook. They do great work. Thanks for posting!
Cybe, I am sure there must be one out there somewhere – I’m now searching – - -
Reed, Perhaps we are reaching a better understanding of the antecedents of the House of Windsor. After all, we already know of one name change in its past.
Grim Blogger, You could well be correct – I was given the file without attribution. I’ll have to google a bit to see if I can find the original.

Trouble yourself not, yet check your inbox…
Cybe, thank you. I had found another. But two Cthulhumas images are better than one. (and yours is better than mine)
