Freedom knows no race, nor color, nor gender.
It stands naked in the light of truth.

My mouth is still hanging open. Unbelievable. So cool. It makes me remember an article that National Geographic did a few years ago about animal play that showed a couple of ravens that were basically sledding down a slope of packed snow on their backs. Thank you so much for sharing this great find!
Absolutely wonderful!
hmh, it really is one of those special experiences. I am still amazed by it and I have watched it around twenty times
neath, Nature never ceases to amaze me. So many strange things happen.
That’s my dog!!!
absolutely wonderful
It’s great, isn’t it? Alas, it is so popular that the page has crashed!
that looks exactly like my son’s malamute….
I saw this over at Lori’s too … wonderful.
What beautiful shots! Play is so important to so many species, it beggars belief that some people still believe its a defining characteristic only of our species… that we’re somehow the only ones who can put ‘fun’ and ‘companionship’ over simple instinctive behaviour like feeding when we’re hungry.
That was one brave dog though!
Buff, It may be a marmalute (or is that a Marmite?)
Herr G eaGle, I’m lost for words as well.
Rain, I was a little afeered that may happen. It seems to be back now.
nursemyra, It may be a Siberian Husky – - -
az, yep, some of my best steals come from Lori.
Truce, Otters do it, Chimps do it,
Even educated Parrots do it.
Let’s do it, Let’s play around!
Sorry, Mr Cole Porter. I have had that song hanging around in my head for several days. We humans can so very arrogant sometimes. There are so many examples of play in the Animal Kingdom (for which we humans are far too good) and for so long they have been ignored.
