A Pair of Naked Boobies

    I am told it’s the fish – for Blue-Footed Boobies, you should follow the Fish, rather than the Money

    Despite their fierce beaks, Boobies are morally attractive creatures – they are loyal & marry for life – it is their fish-diet that gives their feet the blue colour

    - the bluer the feet, the more attractive they are on the marriage market – it indicates that they are good at catching fish

    On another Continent, I was accused of being a Blue-Footed Booby in Spanish – the Guide & his Companions seemed to think he had made a Great Joke

    At the time, I did not understand this & I was not offended – my Spanish is not good enough to translate what was being said (the Marchioness of Witchhampton seems to think I have the same problem with Germanisch)

    Later, it was translated for me by Miss Junior Eagle (the apple of her Father’s eye, who mercifully has inherited her Mother’s brains & good looks & personality)

    I would have had to admit being a Gray-footed Booby – I suffer from the absence of that blue coloration that is the result (apparently) of excessive consumption of Fish
