A new life

I quit my job.

I’m 61.5 and I quit my job.

I am not financially able to stop working but it felt right. For one of the few times in my life I am leaving a job with nowhere to go. There is a touch of excitement mixed with a lot of fear.

I have thoughts of turning this blog into something profitable. I have other thoughts of becoming a power seller on Ebay. I realistically think in terms of going on the dole. There will be small bits of work up here for me over the next twelve months. Maybe enough for me to live on without the indignity of doling. There is an IT course I have developed which needs completion. 100 students each for 12 hours. In groups od around 10.In the meantime I have to clear my house, load everything into my Land Cruiser and get back to Perth. The easy way would be to go down the Gt Northern Highway. I am really tempted to head east and go via Alice Springs and Uluru.

Whichever way I go, I will end up in Maylands, overlooking the Swan River.

  2. nuvol, thank you for the blogrolling – I shall return the favour. Yes, I have enjoyed creating this blog. More than that, I have enjoyed meeting a whole new group of people from all over the world. btw, Babelfish does strange things when translating from Spanish into English.
